How does hair loss start?
Hair loss is a normal symptom. 70 to 80 hairs are shed each
day from a normal scalp. Losing more than 80 hairs a day is
called excessive hair loss and leads to generalized thinning
of the hair. Hair becomes fine in texture. Loss of hair in
men is often determined by heredity or by the Allopetia Androgenetic
hormone. Hair loss in women is often caused by pregnancy,
stress, fatigue or medical treatment. Sometimes it is hormonally-linked.
So what does this mean?
Hair loss always starts with inflamed cells. This creates
fluid in the tissue, which squeezes the blood vessels closed.
This reduces the blood circulation and starves the hair follicles
of nutrients.
A new discovery has been made in finding out
what actually causes hair loss, namely: the hardening of collagen.
Persons who do not suffer from hair loss have supple collagen
and persons who begin showing signs of hair loss have hardened
collagen. Collagen hardening interferes with the healthy functioning
of the hair roots. The vital exchange process of the hair
follicle cycle is disrupted and the hair becomes suffocated.
Research by dermatologists
Mr. I. Boersma is a Dutch dermatologist who has researched
the influences of collagen hardening for ten years. He has
reached the following conclusions:
Reasons in men:
- overproductivity of male hormones ( D.H.T )
- poor blood circulation
Result: collagen hardening
Reasons in women:
- pregnancy
- stress, fatigue
- medical treatment
Result: collagen hardening
What does it mean?
Collagen hardening results in a shortened hair-growing phase.
The hair follicle ages quickly and within a few years baldness
is reality.
It is precisely this discovery that has brought about an
evolution in the baldness and hair loss subject. We are now
in a position to prevent untimely hair loss.
Studies carried out in hair/skin clinics, both world-wide
and in Holland, have shown that men suffering from Allopetia
Androgenetic are benefiting from the Maxilène treatment
for hair loss. Maxilène fights the hardening of the
hair follicle in such a way that hair continues to grow normally.
The life cycle of the hair is optimized and hair is not prematurely
lost.
