Maxilène is a medically proven product to combat hair loss.

Ids Boersma, a dermatologist at the Albert Schweizer Hospital, has carried out a comparative study on the effectiveness of Maxilène. “The main ingredient in Maxilène is a combination of organic silicon and triglyceride esters,” explains Boersma. “Silicon extends the growth phase of the hair and combats hair loss. It strengthens the blood vessels surrounding the hair follicles. This increases cell division and also improves circulation in the connective tissues. All of which makes Maxilène a recognised product for preventing hair loss.”

The results of the comparative study were as follows:

  • Hair loss was significantly reduced
  • Within a 90-day period, there was a demonstrable increase in hair during the growth phase (anagenic hair). During the same period, the hair was on average more than 7% thicker (show diagram).

The study also showed that Maxilène has other benefits, namely that:

  • The positive effects of the product continue even between courses of treatment (show diagram)
  • No negative side effects
  • Does not make the hair greasy
  • Only needs to be applied once a day
  • The study found no evidence of skin irritation
  • 2 courses of treatment per year lasting 3 months each is sufficient
